David Ayer Teases 'Gotham City Sirens' Storyline

The DC Extended Universe is ever-expanding, showcasing many storylines from exploring the deep realm of the ocean in Aquaman or the investigating the world of Gotham in The Batman, it is and will chocked full of many narratives. One such arc that is being developed is Gotham City Sirens.

Speaking to IGN at San Diego Comic-Con, David Ayer, the film's director was asked why he chosed this story and not continue the one he made with Suicide Squad. "It's a story about three fantastic women who're trying to find their way in the world, and realize that they have more power together than they do individually." He said. "I have daughters, and I want to create something that might be able to help them get along in the world a little bit."

Furthermore he was asked if we will see Margot Robbie don a more different attire when she reprises her role as Harley Quinn in Sirens. "Let's put a pin in that. Maybe next Comic-Con." He coyly added, "Everybody evolves."

Gotham City Sirens has no immediate release date but will revolve around the iconic DC Comics characters of Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy take on Gotham.
