A Mystery Is Afoot In Second 'Murder On The Orient Express' Trailer

A mystery is afoot for Detective Hercule Poirot to solve in the second trailer for Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express. 20th Century Fox has released trailer number two for the murder-mystery-in-cold-conditions drama that is sure to keep audience members becoming detectives themselves when they see it come November.

What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told. From the novel by best-selling author Agatha Christie, “Murder on the Orient Express” tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone’s a suspect. One man must race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.

Gal Gadot To Join Up With Bradley Cooper In 'Deeper'

After coming off a glorious success from this year's Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot has become a sought after actress, and now the actress is making a move.

The move, if talks go well, is to join Metro-Goldwyn Meyer's Deeper, a drama that will also have Bradley Cooper. The film's plot revolves around a disgraced astronaut, who wishes to explore the deepest point on Earth at a newly discovered oceanic trench. Ensuing events puts the astronaut in exponential danger that sees him face a fight on two fronts - psychological and physical - against mysterious forces.

Max Landis penned the script of the film, that will be directed by Kornel Mundruczo. Producing will be done by Landis with David Goyer, a collaboration of Phantom Four and Addictive Pictures. Kevin Turen for Phantom 4 and Russell Ackerman and John Schoenfelder for Addictive are also producing.

Gadot can soon be seen in cinemas when Zack Snyder's Justice League comes out in November.

'Marvel's The Punisher' Plus Metallica Equals One Helluva Trailer

Marvel Television and Netflix have released the first trailer for their highly anticipated series, Marvel's The Punisher - an offshoot of Marvel's Daredevil season two revolving around Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle aka The Punisher.

The series, which has no date announced only that it will come out this year, stars Jon Bernthal as the titular character, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein, Paul Schulze as Rawlins, Jaime Ray Newman as Sarah Lieberman, with Daredevil's Deborah Ann-Woll reprising her role as Karen Page.

Here's What Zack Snyder Has Been Doing After Leaving 'Justice League'

As some if not all of you are aware Zack Snyder, the director of Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League, left the last project sometime earlier this year due to the tragic passing of his daughter, Autumn. He and his partner, both creatively and in life, Deborah Snyder understandably left the superhero team-up film.

So what has Snyder been doing since he vacated the film? He took the time to be with family and friends of course but in a more creative way - making a short film. Titled Snow Steam Iron the short film can be exclusively watched on Vero - an up and coming social media platform.

The DC Extended Universe And Then Some: A News Report

During the week we have been given a bevy of updates, reports regarding certain aspect of the DC Extended Universe's future, so let's breakdown those stories from a Joker origin film to Matt Reeves' The Batman and then end off with some advice.

First we have a report coming from Deadline which reports that Warner Bros. and DC are in early stages to develop an Elseworld story, a narrative that would not interact nor connect with the existing cinematic universe - which has Ben Affleck as its Batman, Henry Cavill as its Superman, Gal Gadot as its Wonder Woman, etc - which will showcase an origin story for all new Joker.

Lucasfilm In The Process Of Making An Obi-Wan Kenobi 'Star Wars' Film

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Lucasfilm are in the process of making a Star Wars film revolving around the much-loved character of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Stephen Daldry, whose credits include Billy Elliot and The Hours, is in early talks to direct the film. Daldry will, if he gets the job, oversee writing the film too with Lucasfilm creatives .

The film is in its early phases and has no script yet, also it is unknown if Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as the pivotal Jedi in the Star Wars canon.

This standalone film is one out of the many Lucasfilm are producing to further expand the cinematic side of the Star Wars lore. A Han Solo project is currently filming, while the Obi-Wan and other films, revolving around such characters like Yoda and Boba Fett, are being looked at as possible chapters in the ever-expanding Star Wars cinematic universe.

Ben Affleck Teases A More Heroic Batman Will Be Seen In 'Justice League'

Our first introduction to Ben Affleck's Batman was in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which we saw a more rage-motivated Dark Knight only set on destroying Superman. However he won't be like that when we see him next in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

In the, soon to be released, film, a threat far greater than what Batman can handle comes to Earth, so to combat it, he embarks in rallying up the troops, those being Ezra Miller's The Flash, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, and Ray Fisher's Cyborg. All this allows the character of Bruce Wayne/Batman to grow as a hero by beginning to trust people again.

“He’s put in this position of having to reach out, find other people, convincing them to do something,” Affleck explained to Entertainment Weekly. “Part of the drama of the movie is the question of whether or not the team is going to come together. It’s very different from the tenor of the last movie.”

Geneva Robertson-Dworet To Take Over Writing 'Captain Marvel' For Marvel Studios

Deadline have learned that the writing team for Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel film has been changed.

The Brie Larson-starrer, which is set for a March 8, 2019 release, originally had screenwriters Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman penning the script. Now with LeFauve not being a part of the team, due to co-directing Disney Animation pic Gigantic, Geneva Roberston-Dworet has been brought on board to take over writing duties for the film.

Robertson-Dworet's credits include the upcoming video game-to-live action adaption of Tomb Raider for MGM and Gotham City Sirens, a spin-off of Suicide Squad, which intends on having David Ayer come back to direct with Margot Robbie starring in it as Harley Quinn for Warner Bros.

Captain Marvel will be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck of Mississippi Grind fame.
