David Ayer Teases 'Gotham City Sirens' Storyline

The DC Extended Universe is ever-expanding, showcasing many storylines from exploring the deep realm of the ocean in Aquaman or the investigating the world of Gotham in The Batman, it is and will chocked full of many narratives. One such arc that is being developed is Gotham City Sirens.

Speaking to IGN at San Diego Comic-Con, David Ayer, the film's director was asked why he chosed this story and not continue the one he made with Suicide Squad. "It's a story about three fantastic women who're trying to find their way in the world, and realize that they have more power together than they do individually." He said. "I have daughters, and I want to create something that might be able to help them get along in the world a little bit."

Taraji P. Henson Is In For The Kill In 'Proud Mary' Trailer

Taraji P. Henson is in for the kill in an all new trailer for Sony Pictures' upcoming hit-woman action film, Proud Mary.

Coming out in January, we have Henson mirroring the actions of say Atomic Blonde (Lorraine Broughton), by being one badass taking out targets left and right in stealth and style.

Doctor Doom Film Being Developed By Noah Hawley For Fox

At the tail end of FX's San Diego Comic Con panel for their widely-loved series, Legion, showrunner Noah Hawley revealed is has something to work on in the future.

"Two words," he said. "Doctor. Doom."

Sources via The Hollywood Reporter have come forward to tell that Hawley is developing a film that will centre around the notorious Marvel Comics villain, Doctor Doom. This has been seen as a way for 20th Century Fox to revitalise the Fantastic Four brand on the big screen.

The overall cinematic franchise revolving Marvel's superhero family has been not the best, receiving less than typical praise and box office numbers from the numerous outings be them the Tim Story films of the late noughties to the most recent 2015 reboot from Josh Trank. Fox has been in a rough patch when it comes to bringing the iconic group on to the big screen, this Doctor Doom project could be the needed spark to light a successful franchise.

'Marvel's Inhumans' Comic Con Trailer Shows More Family Troubles And Then Some

Thursday saw Marvel Television bring out Marvel's Inhumans into the foray that is San Diego Comic Con, and with that comes a new trailer for the series - which will have its first two episodes premiere worldwide September 1 exclusively on IMAX screens.

Set to Rag'N'Bone Man's Human track, the trailer shows off more action, set pieces, and gives us a more in depth look at the series.

'Shazam!' Reportedly To Begin Filming Early 2018; A 2019 Release Likely

The Hollywood Reporter have learned through their sources that New Line Cinema/DC Films' next film to begin production is Shazam!

The film, which will revolve around a young boy who has the ability to transform into Shazam -  a being who has the wisdom of Solomon; the strength of Hercules; the stamina of Atlas; the power of Zeus; the courage of Achilles; the speed of Mercury, will reportedly film in either January or February of 2018.

A 2019 release is likely to happen.

Annabelle: Creation helmer, David F. Sandberg is on board to direct the film for New Line, with Peter Safran, who is currently a producer on Aquaman and has worked with Sandberg before, in talks to produce Shazam! Henry Gayden is set to pen the script of the film.

An Otherworldly Being Is Afoot In 'The Shape Of Water' Trailer

Coming from the fantastical storyteller that is Guillermo Del Toro, we have The Shape of Water, which looks to be a rather unique period-piece fantasy feature filled with villainy and heroics.
